The Lovebirds (April 3)

Issa Rae hits the big screen once again, this time accompanied by Kumail Nanjiani. The two play a couple framed for murder who go on a wild journey to clear their names—all while trying to figure out their own relationship. This is Nanjiani’s second collaboration with director Michael Showalter, who also helmed 2017’s Oscar-nominated The Big Sick.

Kristen Stewart stars in this romantic comedy directed by Veep star Clea DuVall. Stewart plays a woman ready to propose to her girlfriend during the holidays—until she finds out her longtime love has yet to come out to her conservative family.

Marry Me (2020)

Jennifer Lopez is on a roll. In 2019 we got to witness her dancing and acting prowess in Hustlers, and earlier this year she rocked the stage at the Superbowl Halftime show. But she’s not stopping there—the pop star will return to screens in 2020 as a famous musician (fitting) who finds out her fiancé is cheating on her moments before she walks down the aisle.

The Kissing Booth 2 (2020)

The wait is almost over for the highly-anticipated sequel to Netflix’s The Kissing Booth. Jacob Elordi and Joey King will reprise their roles as Noah and Elle, and rumor has it the movie’s storyline will closely follow the book series on which it’s based.

The Princess Switch: Switched Again (2020)

Another Netflix obsession getting its own sequel this year is 2018’s The Princess Switch, starring Vanessa Hudgens as a Chicago baker named Stacy and her doppelgänger, a royal duchess from the kingdom of Belgravia. The new movie adds a third look-alike to the mix, “party girl” Fiona.

Chemical Hearts (2020)

Amazon Studios is releasing a new romantic drama titled Chemical Hearts, based on the novel by Krystal Sutherland, later this year. Riverdale fans will be pleased to learn Lili Reinhart stars in this coming of age tale set in high school, alongside The Walking Dead and Euphoria‘sAustin Abrams.
