Utilizing the minimalistic principles of Pombaline architecture, with minimal demolition, Portuguese interior designers, Aurora Arquitectos transform an apartment in Lisbon into a work of art
In a building which occupies the entire south limit of Largo do Carmo, in Lisbon, Portuguese interior designers, Aurora Arquitectos transform an apartment into a work of art. Utilizing the minimalistic principles of Pombaline architecture, with minimal demolition, the palatial apartment serves as an ideal family home. Featuring two main intersecting corridors, with direct connections between each room, the apartment’s doors are plastered and painted – blending new elements seamlessly into the existing environment. The designers also incorporated all-new, complex and discreet paths for climatization, sewage and ventilation.
