Julie Bentley is to step down as chief executive of Action for Children after 18 months in the role.
Bentley said on Twitter today that she was leaving for personal reasons, but did not provide further details.

A spokeswoman for Action for Children said Bentley would leave at the end of the month.
Carol Iddon, the charity’s deputy chief executive, will take over while a longer term interim chief executive is found.
Bentley has led Action for Children since August 2018, and was previously the chief executive of Girlguiding for six years.
Prior to Girlguiding, she was chief executive of the sexual health charity the Family Planning Association, now fpa, and spent almost five years in the same position at the personal safety charity the Suzy Lamplugh Trust.
The spokeswoman for Action for Children said:“Action for Children can confirm that chief executive Julie Bentley has resigned from the charity.
“She is stepping down for personal reasons. The board of trustees has accepted her resignation with sadness and thank her for her dedication and commitment over the past 18 months.
“She has been an incredibly visible frontline chief exec inspiring staff across the UK and during her time, she’s led the work to develop a new brand, vision, mission and values as well as pioneering the launch of our Choose Childhood campaign.”
