Asia Yachting has been appointed to represent Monte Carlo Yachts, Prestige and Beneteau Swift Trawler in five countries across Southeast Asia – Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines – in addition to its previous territories of Hong Kong and Macau. Beneteau, Prestige and Monte Carlo Yachts are all part of Beneteau Group.
Asia Yachting’s successes since representing Monte Carlo Yachts include selling the first hulls of the MCY 65, 70, 80, 86 and 105 models.
Fabrizio Iarrera, Managing Director of Monte Carlo Yachts, said: “We are thrilled at the prospect of further expanding our strong collaboration with Asia Yachting to new markets. The high expertise of the team has proven to be in line with Monte Carlo Yachts’ philosophy and quality standards in regards to both customer experience and satisfaction.”
Erwin Bamps, General Manager of Prestige, was also happy with the new arrangement. “The expansion of the partnership with Asia Yachting is a positive initiative given its well-established businesses and presence across Asia. We have a strong belief that the Asia-Pacific market is emerging and growing, allowing us to develop globalisation for Prestige even more intensively,” Bamps said.
“Prestige yachts are known as being ‘family yachts’ and renowned for being spacious, open-plan and full of light from the large windows. The evolution of the latest generation of Prestige yachts also makes them eminently suitable for charter or corporate usage. These configurations serve distinctive Asian preferences.”
Asia Yachting, which was founded in 2007, has its headquarters in Hong Kong and further offices in the Philippines and Thailand, and also represents Fountaine Pajot, Nautique and Scarab.
Olivier Besson, CEO of Asia Yachting, said: “I am very excited to extend the scope of the strategic partnership with the Beneteau Group in terms of territories. The past decade of collaboration has proven to be remarkable and resulted in positive customer relationships achieved through first-class management and after-sales strength of Asia Yachting. I’m convinced we have the right mix and synergy between our various territories to best promote these brands to our discerning clients.”
Simpson Marine represented Monte Carlo Yachts in Southeast Asia from 2014-19 and will continue to be a distributor for the Italian builder in mainland China and Taiwan. Boat Lagoon Yachting was formerly a distributor of Prestige in Southeast Asia.
