There are “exciting times ahead” for the Institute of Fundraising, its chair Amanda Bringans has said, as the IoF began the search for her successor.
Bringans, who is also the director of fundraising at the British Heart Foundation, will complete her maximum three-year term as chair of the IoF and will step down in July.
The IoF released the job advert for its next chair yesterday.
Bringans told Third Sector: “I love being chair of the IoF, working with fantastic fundraisers across the UK, and I’ll continue to do that until the last minute when my successor takes over in July.
“And I’ll always be a proud member and supporter of the IoF.”
The IoF is in the process of applying for chartered status, which will allow it to become the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
“Whoever follows as the next chair has an exciting time ahead,” Bringans said.
“Progressing our chartered journey, building on improving equality, diversity and inclusion and continuing to support brilliant fundraisers and fundraising organisations around the UK to inspire their supporters.”
The advert for the role of chair, published on the IoF website, says the membership body is looking for someone with “time, passion and experience” who can “build on our strong foundations and work collaboratively” with the board and executive team, to develop a new strategy to take effect from 2021 and continue to tackle the key issues facing the fundraising community”.
The applications close at midday on 12 February.
