This year’s Kata Rocks Super Yacht Rendezvous features an exclusive charity gala evening for the first time, in support of International SeaKeepers Society Asia and Phuket-based Oceans for All.
Held the week after the iconic King’s Cup Regatta (November 30-December 7), the fourth Kata Rocks Super Yacht Rendezvous will be held at Kata Rocks, one of Phuket’s leading five-star luxury villa resorts, from December 12-15, with the charity gala on December 14.
The elegant sit-down dinner will feature a range of entertainment and all proceeds generated will be donated to SeaKeepers Asia – returning to the event for a second year – and Oceans for All, as the Kata Rocks Super Yacht Rendezvous expands its marine conservation efforts on top of promoting the yachting and luxury lifestyle.
Julian Chang, President of SeaKeepers Asia, said: “We are grateful for the support from the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous with its first-ever Charity Gala. It will assist us to reach out to yacht owners and the community to encourage involvement and commitment to research, protect, conserve and restore.
“Phuket is the right place for us to lend our support and resources to create a better awareness of the current situation of our oceans. The Kata Rocks Super Yacht Rendezvous is really stepping up efforts to expand its environmental and marine conservation footprint, and together with Oceans for All, funds raised will go towards marine conversation and research in Phuket and beyond.”
Managed by Infinite Luxury, the event features a wide array of attending superyachts, along with a lively social programme.
Sunseeker, which will host an owners’ dinner, will attend for the first time while returning superyacht partners include Benetti, Burgess, Camper & Nicholsons, Lee Marine, Northrop & Johnson, Oceanco, Princess and Seal Superyachts.
Craig Murphy, Principal Dealer Sunseeker Thailand-Vietnam, said: “The Kata Rocks Super Yacht Rendezvous offers excellent opportunities and we are delighted to host the inaugural Sunseeker Owners’ dinner. We look forward to working with the organisers on future synergies and grow this already outstanding event.”
The Kata Rocks Super Yacht Rendezvous will again feature exclusive wines, spirits, cigars, champagne and caviar, plus a private beach barbecue at a new location.
The event has also partnered with Thailand’s award-winning Vikasa Yoga to conduct raw dessert cooking classes and demonstrations as well as yoga classes rooted in the Vikasa yoga method.
