The Canopi Foundation has appointed Marc Greene, commercial director at In Kind Direct, as its new chief executive.
Greene will assume the top job at the Canopi Foundation, which is the umbrella organisation for the charities Canopi and Education Saves Lives, on 9 July.
Canopi offers a coworking and community hub for charities and social impact organisations, while Education Saves Lives provides health and life skills education globally through locally adapted video resources.
Greene, who in his new role will lead both organisations, succeeds Clive Dove-Dixon, who is retiring in July after six years at the helm of the foundation.
Greene has spent the past four and half years as commercial director at In Kind Direct, a charity that builds partnerships with charitable organisations to deliver products to communities in need.
Before this, he was a brand director at the clothing company Ellesse for three years.
He also worked as the commercial director for Mitre Sports between 2015 and 2017, before which he was the vice-president of sales for the footwear brand KangaROOs International.
Greene said: “Building on the strong foundations Clive has laid across both organisations, I look forward to working with the staff, customers and the wider third sector community to ensure the work continues to enhance impact, strengthen community and shape a better future for all.”
Dove-Dixon said: “It has been a privilege to lead both Canopi and Education Saves Lives through a period of transformation and resilience.
“Despite the challenges of Covid-19, we remained focused on supporting our customers and strengthening our mission. I’m delighted that Marc will now lead both organisations into their respective next phases.”
