Absolute 52 Fly

Absolute is developing the new 52 Fly, which includes a lot of the brand’s signature features introduced on its new generation of flybridge yachts, led by the 60 Fly released last year and the 56 Fly that premiered at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

The new 52-footer replicates features on the larger models such as infinity aft decks in both the cockpit and flybridge, both using Absolute’s signature modular furniture, while the lower deck includes a full-beam master cabin in the bow, two guest doubles midships, and a versatile crew cabin.

Other signatures include optional solar panels on the hard top, which can provide enough energy to run multiple appliances at anchor, negating the need for a generator and allowing guests to enjoy silence while in a bay.

The outdoor areas include a flybridge with twin helm seats, a sunbathing area, wet bar and modular furniture aft, while the foredeck features a forward-facing sofa, table and triple sunbed with adjustable backrests.

The aft cockpit has a clear glass balustrade and chairs that can be arranged as two facing sofas, both with open views of the sea.

A three-leaf sliding door saloon leads into the saloon, which has windows all around including wide opening ones on both sides, which are electrically controlled and slide up and down. Opening the saloon windows provides natural ventilation, reducing the need for air-conditioning.

Aft is a full-beam galley with a full-height refrigerator, a separate freezer and a spacious pantry, unusual in this size of yacht. It’s one step up to a saloon featuring a C-shaped sofa and a table to port, facing a sofa to starboard.

The saloon ceiling features a circular motif with recessed LED lighting, while panelling and furniture are in light-coloured natural timber, with leather trim. The main helm to starboard has a side-deck door and multiple MFDs to monitor and control all on-board systems.

On the lower deck, the full-beam master suite in the bow is generously sized, with plenty of room around a large double bed, high ceilings, ample storage and very large windows providing sea views and natural light.

The VIP cabin midships is comparable to a master cabin, while the guest cabin has an electrical system, fitted as standard, for easy transformation from twin berths to double bed. There’s also a practical crew cabin with access from the stern platform for complete privacy.

Absolute is represented in Hong Kong by Absolute Marine, which delivered Asia’s first 56 Fly earlier this year, ahead of the model’s world premiere at Cannes.
