The Time for Action is now; it’s never too late to do something

Don’t you think our minds are inclined to discern life in small sections instead of a persistent journey?

We often impose certain restrictions on ourselves, as we used to set our targets according to the age, once the particular age is gone we induce ourselves that the game is over as our targets have been missed or the opportunity has dissipated.

Aren’t our minds preordained with the societal stipulation that decides when and what sort of things we can do and what we can’t? There is always a path out of frazzled rat race only if a person eager to venture for what his guts tell him.

“Despite the restrictions, we are safe within (the Box). But – and here is the problem – once we identify something more, that awareness irrevocably changes our perceptions of the Box.”

Heidi Reagan

Bulldozing the social barriers

Sometimes, many social walls may come across the way of doing what we dreamed. This wall could either be your age or society that always makes sure to realize that you are old enough to adopt any profession or just not fit in a particular profession by living in a dominating male society. Still, these social barriers are nothing but prejudices. Glenda proved all these assertions wrong by taking a bold initiative at the age of 54, being a patriarchal society resident. Hence, she has given a lesson; if you own a thirsty soul to break all the boundaries, you hold the license to freedom.

There are always some bold career pathways that no one can predict before. One of that was followed by the iron lady Glenda Craddock. The fact is people who ‘actually’ live their lives are those who are not hesitant to take any bold initiative if required, those who evacuate the boxes by throwing all their stuff on the ground and then go along with their instinct on the road of inspiration, those who are not reluctant to switch their career paths just to follow the way where their heart goes. However, this switch doesn’t always proceed in a straight line; rather, it might be a curved path followed by certain risks. As Glenda did, besides a competition shooter, she took a whole switch to a self-protection career. She is an extremely passionate woman regarding the human rights to keep and bear arms, an owner of a gunroom, Navy Veteran, former teacher, an enthusiastic hunter, and, most importantly, a markswoman in different shooting competitions. Initially, Glenda was running her gun store and participating in shooting competitions. Soon, a transition came into her life after she started to have a coaching session from Hank Hayes.

Passion turned Profession

She started to realize that she must utilize her passion for achieving something that she really loves. She thought to avail her profession as her strength, to build herself as a person who can discover her path, freely and independently, who is hugely capable of defending and protecting herself along this path of venturing. She is a firm believer in self-protection. Due to the increasing ratio of street crimes and sexual harassment cases, she thinks it has become crucial for every woman to keep a gun in her possession.

“And shooting is extremely empowering. It’s a good feeling to know that I can protect myself if I have to.” She further said, “We had women who had been carjacked, robbed or raped, and others who were just scared of what’s going on in the world. We had others that just wanted to learn more and get better at shooting. It turned into a beautiful thing for women to do together, a fellowship where they could share their experiences and bond.”

Glenda Craddock – An inspiration

Most of us have heard the proverb that it’s never too late for anything. Yes! That’s what Glenda did. She is among a few women worldwide who own a gun business and expanded it to pawn shops. She has recently opened her gun store in Virginia Beach, having a fantastic range of guns with daily deals and offers on standard firearms. Chesapeake Pawn & Gun not only deals with weapons but also with accessories like engagement rings, diamonds, and much more. Through gun groups and shops, the brand has aimed at women customers. They have launched a new offering worth $13 billion with compartments, built-in guns, colorful guns even bras with the capacity to store a gun. No doubt, it is an unconventional yet bold profession. According to the common perception, convectional paths are usually considered financially predictable, safe, and respectable, as your current job might be rewarding due to which others may recognize you or value you. Still, on the other hand, your instinct is continuously telling you that pushing the dreams back can devour your spirit. So, take a deep breath and think for a while, why are you giving the control of your life at society’s hands? Sometimes in some cases, coaching is something that we need to set our focus towards a particular goal. Coaching can provide the momentum required to chase the identity and ideal career. As in Glenda’s case, her self-protection couch named Hank Hayes helped her accelerate the path of success. Hank guided her on the long-term and short-term challenges and assisted her by giving a clear cut version of who she is and what she wants to empower to advance her career and goals.

It doesn’t matter that either you are 30 years old, or 60 you just put move the wheels to take an initiative on that particular thing that you wanted to do for past months or years or perhaps the whole past life. Stop reflecting the view that things can only be done at particular stage. Never let the invisible, self-fabricated boundaries stop you from ceasing your path of doing things that you feel yourself capable. It’s never too late: to say, to do, to achieve – to start loving and living being you.
