Liz Tait, fundraising director of the Teenage Cancer Trust is to step down.
Tait was appointed as director of fundraising at the charity in 2018, succeeding Kate Collins after the latter’s promotion to chief executive.
Tait, who is a well-known face in the fundraising community, is also a trustee of the Institute of Fundraising and chairs its standards advisory board.
She previously spent eight years at the animal welfare charity Battersea: under her leadership the charity’s income grew from £10m to nearly £40m.
Tait has also held senior marketing roles at the British Red Cross, Sense and Plan UK.
A spokeswoman for the TCT told Third Sector she was not in a position to share any information about Tait’s departure until next week.
The news was announced through the Twitter account of Kate Collins, chief executive of the TCT.
In a series of tweets, Collins revealed that the charity was recruiting a new director of fundraising.
